Under the Government ECO3 Scheme you may be entitled to Funding for a FREE Boiler Replacement, find out if you qualify by filling in our simple and easy form below.
Free, and heavily subsidized replacement boilers are available via ECO, a Government boiler Scheme which has been set up to help low-income households access home efficiency improvements to reduce the cost of heating their homes, and to reduce their carbon footprints. If you meet the benefits related criteria, and your current boiler is at least 6 years old , you could qualify. It's as simple as that.
Boiler Grants are non-repayable, this means you do not have to pay any money back at any time. There are no complicated terms and conditions. If you qualify for a grant, you can have a new boiler installed along with new heating controls (where necessary). The amount of funding you get is determined by the efficiency of your home, so an energy assessment will be carried out free of charge. In some instances a small contribution may be required.
ECO FREE BOILER is part of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO), and affordable warmth a government initiative funded by the utility companies.
This grant helps low-income households with higher fuel poverty to become more energy-efficient and have lower bills.
Eligible households with an old boiler, or one that’s not working, can apply to install a new A-rated boiler for FREE. Including tenants and landlords (tenants will need landlords permission).
So not only will you have a brand new boiler installed that will be guaranteed, you could save up to £300 a year on gas bills and save on monthly maintenance policies that you may have.
You may be entitled to Government backed funding for First Time Heating in your property in order to make your home more energy efficient. Saving the planet whilst saving you money.
First Time Central Heating grants are part of the government’s ECO scheme. Under this scheme qualifying homeowners could get grant to cover the cost of installing first-time central heating in their homes where there is no central heating system.
The funding provided is a grant, not a loan, therefore it doesn’t need to be repaid and could cover a large part – if not all – of the cost of installing central heating in your home. The average cost of having a central heating system installed privately is approximately £3,500, however, qualifying homeowners taking advantage of a heating grant can save them a considerable amount of money. If you receive one of the qualifying benefits, you could be eligible for free or a heavily subsidised first-time central heating in your home.
One of the qualifying criteria for First Time Central Heating Grants is that your home must have adequate loft insulation installed and if it has cavity walls, it must have cavity wall insulation installed.
If your home doesn’t have either of these installed at the time of your application, we can arrange to do the insulation at the same time.
Once we have confirmed that you are eligible to receive the grant, we will arrange a free no obligation survey of your home and its existing heating system. After this survey we will be able to see the suitability and feasibility of the installation. We will also be able to assess if you need to contribute towards the cost or it can be done free of cost.
Once your new central heating system has been fitted, you can sit back and enjoy your new warm home with the benefit of lower energy bills as a result of your A-rated efficiency boiler. All of our boilers come with a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty for extra peace of mind.
We will then arrange a survey of your home and its existing heating system and the surveyor will complete the official grant application form on your behalf. You will then receive your funding.
You may be entitled to Government backed funding for under floor insulation measures in order to make your home more energy efficient. Saving the planet whilst saving you money.
Insulation of your house is a fundamental factor to a warmer, more energy -efficient home and could help you save money on your energy bills.
under- floor insulation are the most effective way to reduce heat loss from your home. Insulating homes is costly but under the Energy Companies Obligation (ECO) Scheme, you could be eligible for free home insulation the improvements made to your home can add up to savings on your energy bill.
Insulating your floor involves completely filling the space between the beams under your floor with mineral wool insulation “blankets” and securing this in place with nylon netting. By installing this from under your floor, there is no need to take up your carpet and floor boards – ensuring that you have a quick mess free install.
Underfloor insulation uses the basic laws of heat and cold to its advantage in order to insulate any space in which it is installed. The concept is surprisingly simple, but extremely effective at the same time. To sum it up, the primary purpose of underfloor insulation is to keep your home warm in winter and cool in summer—period. The way it does this by creating a barrier that protects your home from the air that flows beneath your property. The point of this is to keep your floor the same temperature as the inside of your home, and prevent any outside air from coming in and infiltrating your property. This happens because wooden floors tend to have many little air gaps through which outside air flow can sneak into your living space. Not to mention that the temperature of the floor itself can easily change to that of the external climate very quickly without insulation.
Other insulations available for your home include wall insulation and cathedral ceiling insulation. These insulations serve the same purpose, but do so in slightly different ways. For example, foil ceiling insulation acts effectively by providing your home with a reflective surface that creates a mirror against the harsh rays of the sun. In essence, it stands guard at your house and reflects back any heat that tries to penetrate your home.
It Eliminates Draughts
It Will Prevent Heat Loss
It Will Create a Vapor Barrier and Reduce Moisture
It Will Help Keep Pipes From Freezing
It’s Cheaper Than Insulating Uninsulated Spaces
It Will Help in the Summer, Too

The ECO will be funded by energy suppliers. Energy suppliers obligated under the scheme will determine how much subsidy they provide to each consumer. The ECO is worth around £1.3 billion every year. The ECO Affordable Warmth and Carbon Saving Community obligations will provide support worth around £540 million per year to households. The ECO Carbon Saving Obligation is worth around £760 million per year.
Energy suppliers will provide the ECO directly to customers, or it will be provided by organisations working together through pre-approved arrangements, such as UK Energy Saving Experts.
To insulate your cavity walls, the installer drills small holes around 22mm in size at intervals of around 1m in the outside wall of your home. The installer then blows insulation into the cavity using special equipment. Once all the insulation is in, the installer fills the holes in the brickwork so you’ll barely notice them. Filling cavity walls is not a job you can do yourself. A professional can do the job in around two hours for an average house with easily accessible walls. It shouldn’t make any mess.
Around 2 to 2.5 hours for a semi-detached or a bungalow and about half a day for a standard detached property.
No. If the property has no damp problems before the installation of cavity wall insulation, it will certainly not have any afterwards. Our site survey visit will check to ensure that the property is suitable. In addition the product has been independently tested by The British Board of Agrément (BBA) and has been successfully awarded a BBA certificate.
